Yogaleena Studio is the co-creation of a mom-daughter team with a shared vision of bringing inspiration, beauty, and wellness practices to our community.
New Jersey based artist, Ximena, has been creating beautiful pieces in a variety of mediums for over 40 years. Her artwork is inspired by nature and her love of travel, which she enjoys to do most with her husband and three daughters.
Carolina, Ximena's middle child, has been a yogi and entrepreneur for over 15 years. Her passion for sharing wellness practices and designing sacred spaces inspired the creation of Yogaleena Studio, which she is thrilled to be running with her mom.
MEET CAROLINA
Hi, I’m Carolina. I’m an entrepreneur, yoga teacher, Ayurveda enthusiast, and mama to two boys (humans) and a girl (cockapoo).
I fell in love with yoga many years ago, while juggling a corporate job, pursuing an MBA, and all the messy emotions of a single gal in my 20s. I loved it so much, in fact, that I quit that job and opened up my own yoga studio in Houston, TX.
After an incredible 6 years, and 2 kiddos later, I felt it was time to evolve my business and expand the vision for Yogaleena to include the gorgeous accessories my mom designs and creates.
Besides managing our online boutique, I continue to share the ancient practices of yoga and Ayurveda through my blog, classes, workshops, retreats, and corporate events.
MEET XIMENA
Hi, I’m Ximena. I’m an artist, mother of 3 daughters and abuela to four little ones, and two fur babies!
I was born and raised in Chile, and lived much of my young life with my grandparents. My love of the arts came early. My grandmother taught me how to knit, and I instantly fell in love with the quiet, meditative process. Designing and creating beautiful things became a hobby and a passion; one which would find me later graduating with a degree in Arts Education. Since then, I have continued to learn new art forms, including acrylic and oil painting, macrame, embroidery, quilting, felting, and sewing.
When my girls were in their teens, I opened up a children's boutique in Miami, FL. Ladybug Boutique showcased my original designs in addition to accessories from Spain and South America. When my husband's work brought us to Pennsylvania, I closed the shop and began collaborating on yoga and meditation accessories with my daughter, Carolina.
I love my home in Lumberton, NJ and draw much inspiration from its countryside setting. I also love to travel and find that time away also nourishes my creativity and informs new designs.
